Diverse AI models for an inclusive catalogue

Glammo AI's 60 fictional adult AI models cover seven heritage groups, but not evenly: 43 are White / European, and the other 17 are spread across six groups. This page gives the count for every group, so you can see what the cast covers before you plan a season.

Is the cast diverse enough for your customers?

Start from the balance. 43 of the 60 models are White / European, and some groups are small: South Asian has two models and Middle Eastern / North African has one. If most of your customers share one of those heritages, you'll be choosing from a short list, and may use the same face for every drop.

Some heritages have no catalogue model at all, among them Southeast Asian, Pacific Islander and Indigenous heritages. On Pro and Studio you can create your own fictional models for the customers the catalogue misses.

Heritage is one part of inclusive casting; age and size are others. The cast has five models aged 40 and over, one curve model and one petite model. Models over 40 · Curve and petite models

How do you cast for your real customers without tokenism?

Tokenism is casting for the look of diversity rather than for the people who buy from you. These habits keep casting honest.

  • Start from your customers, not a quota

Look at who buys from you, who follows you and where you ship. Cast to match those people, and write your reasons down so the next drop follows them.

  • Give every model real work

A model who appears once in a launch post and never on a product page is a gesture. Give each model you cast whole drops, product pages included.

  • Cast by fit, not by stereotype

Choose a model because the look suits the garment and your customer, not for heritage alone. Ananya suits ethnicwear and festive looks, and contemporary dresses too; Kwame suits streetwear, and tailoring too.

  • Give every model the same care

Use the same scenes, the same number of frames and the same edits for every model. If one model always gets the plain studio and another the editorial set, shoppers notice.

  • Rotate by drop, not inside a drop

One shoot is one model, scene and look, for up to 20 products. Cast different drops on different models, and keep each drop consistent.

  • Check skin tone and hair in every frame

Warm scenes and golden-hour light shift skin tones. Compare a set's frames side by side, and use an edit to correct the light if one frame drifts.

  • Keep it fictional

Never present a Glammo model as a real person or as a member of a real community. In alt text and captions, call each one a fictional AI model.

How to plan an inclusive season

  1. 01

    List your customer groups

Group your customers by age, size and heritage, using your own orders, reviews and followers rather than guesses.

  2. 02

Match each group to a model

Use the table above. Where a group has no catalogue model, create one on Pro or Studio.

  3. 03

Give each model a full drop

Shoot product-page sets and campaign frames on the same model, so every customer group sees itself on product pages, not only in campaigns.

  4. 04

Review the season side by side

Before you publish, line up every drop. Check that each model got the same scenes and care, and that each garment matches the product.

Need a heritage the cast doesn't have?

On Pro and Studio you can describe and create your own fictional model, then use it for every shoot. Describe a fictional person, never a real person or a celebrity.
